ABOUT US
Parnassia Media Ltd. was founded in 1998 in the United Kingdom
by Dutchman Everhard Hebly, who holds a degree in journalism
and previously worked as a business and motoring journalist
for various publications. In the early days we focussed on
Dutch publications, nowadays we provide translation management
in a wide range of European and Asian languages for magazines
and websites.
In 2009 we translated, edited and wrote in more than 25 languages.
We take on most subjects, but specialise in cars, sport, tourism,
education, finance, business, technical and IT.
Our office is located in the southwest of England, on the
outskirts of the vibrant city of Exeter and not far away from
the trendy UK surfing beaches. Our team members and strategic
language partners are based all over the world.

Many people have asked us where our name Parnassia
comes from. It stands for creativity, quality
and simplicity and has a few origins:
* It's one of the finest and rarest flowers (above)
that grow mainly in dunes - white, small, pretty
and quite simple. We like that.
* The Parnassians
were a group of 19th-century French poets
who strove for exact and faultless workmanship.
Suits us well.
* In the Greek mythology Mount
Parnassus became known as the home of poetry,
music, and learning. Wonderful story, beautiful
mountain, great country.
* The Parisian region of Montparnasse
became famous at the beginning of the 20th century,
when it was the heart of intellectual and artistic
life in Paris. It had a huge international attraction.
* Finally, Parnassia
is one of the most stylish places along the Dutch
coast, positioned on top of the dunes. Perfect
place to watch the sunset.
